Well if GM is anything like ford, then its more than 2 bucks First it costs 20bucks for a guy to go on to a computer to link up with the GM "car key" server (approx. 3 sec) and use a pen and scrap paper to write down the code that is entered into the key cutting machine. My door unlock key was 8bucks, the special ignition key with security chip was like 30. (yes the bonnie has 2 keys) I got lucky and the guy got the codes for me but had no more keys so he gave me them for free.
ps, they will want to see some registration, hope the only copy isnt locked in the car!
