my husband had a flat key made to fit in his wallet. The key obviously won't start the car, but it gets the doors open.

Ya ready ill tell you how to get in there with power locks...

#1 Pull the door back at the top and jam something in there to keep it open like a handle for a hammer or something, That works becuase it won't scrach your car.

#2 make something long to poke the unlock button like a coat hanger that is straight. and biggity bam your door is open.

Trust me it works i have done it many of times! Atleast once a week someone locks there keys in their car at my work.

and i did it once on my other SVT

After you get your car opened, take the freakin key to walmart and have them make a regular ford automotive key and keep it in your damn wallet!

for one, the key will not start the car if you have pats, so if your wallet gets stolen, oh well. and don't mark car id on the key either.

for seconds, it will open the doors! and trunk.

If the tard at walmart says no because its a coded key, just go back when some other person is working. Its walmart someone is slow enough not to know what a coded key is

Did that when I got my car and saved my butt once at a gas station. Left my keys in the cup holder cause I wrote my down my mileage. I got out and locked the door because I have to go in and pay. Went god damn it, but i had my key in my wallet, so no worries!

Twice I ended up locking my old 96 Contour while the engine was running.

The first tow truck guy was using the tool with the 2 Us in it to go under the window and push the power locks. If I had seen him start, I would have let him know the power locks didn't work. He got a good idea and lowered one of the rear windows from the driver's door.

The 2nd tow truck did what Steeda said (except was a plastic wedge) and used a long tool to lower the window.

After the 2nd time I went to the locksmith to get one of the flat, old style Ford keys made for my wallet.

BUT this has got to be the most embarassing time:

I was at the motor pool's wash rack... guess I hit the lock with my arm as I got out. The dude with me was our shop vehicle dude, so he went to get the spare key from fleet management... turns out someone already checked it out like 2 months ago! So trans came by and brought a slim jim and a modified slim jim (was round). Ended up getting the passenger door open with the round tool.

Let's just say there was quite a few unhappy people behind me (a bus and 4 or 5 trucks!)

Sometimes it does not work for the front doors but will work for the trunk. Try that and if it works, enter through the back seat.

Maybe he thinks it's a common interest to go lock your keys in your car...

Wanna try it and be like us cool guys?
