Sometimes it does not work for the front doors but will work for the trunk. Try that and if it works, enter through the back seat.

nope, doesnt work there either. I had the same idea

Maybe he thinks it's a common interest to go lock your keys in your car...

Wanna try it and be like us cool guys?

lol i wasn't sure where to put it. I put it where i figured more people would see it. and thus get better ideas as how to open my car

If using a slim jim, do it on the passenger side. I had a friend of a friend do it for me once, and he had to do it on the passenger side.

The easiest way is to use a wedge and a slim jim...If you cant get to one of those, you could also call a ford dealer and tell them that you locked your keys in your car...Since the car is a 99 you could tell them the VIN and they could cut a key on the spot for you, the key would only open the door and it should be free and if not, it would be very cheap (2 bucks)...

I thought it was pretty well known that police help you break into your car during these situations.
Whenever I've seen it happen to people, they always call the police first for help, and then default to a locksmith or tow company if the police can't help.

My wife locked her keys in her car so many times that I installed a "marine" push button in a well protected spot wired to the unlock line of the electric door locks.

"For emergency use only dear"... Except I found out she locks her keys in the car on purpose when she goes to the gym and relies on that little button to get back in. Just another feature. I'll probably have to set her new Taurus up the same way - or hear about it later.

Sure would've been great if FoMoCo offered keypad entry on the Contour. Or if the kit that is available from the dealer wasn't so bloody ugly!
