..
Well, as some of the NY / NJ CEGers already know, I'm still stuck in New York.. We stopped here for a couple days and on the evening where we were leaving my car died on the highway.
Hours of troubleshooting, finally towing it to a dealership, here's the disgnostic:
- Alternator dead - Fried wiring everywhere
That was the only part that hadn't gone on my engine yet.. I've now come full circle. Too bad my car is so damn fun to drive and looks so damn good cuz I'm growing tired of how unreliable it is.
Stay tuned..

Oh man that sucks.
What's the ETA on getting everything fixed? Under warranty?
Swapping the alternator is a b1tch, and can't imagine the wiring. Bleh.

Well, at least this dealership has a couple workstations with XP and high speed internet in the waiting room. Julie and I are hogging two of them. Alternator should be in around lunch, they said I should be able to leave today. Thank God for my extended warranty or this whole venture woulda cost sooo much money I'd probably have to push the car back home.. Now I have to go after Ford Canada for compensation on my hotel, car rental, towing, etc.. Apparently that works pretty well, I'll see about that! Silver SVT's have no luck on the drive back this year!!
