I'm looking to put some graphics on my car to spruce it up a bit, but don't want anything too big... yet, anyways. I'm thinking something along the lines of a simple pinstripe, but...
What do you think about a pair of Corvette Grand Sport Style hashmarks? (These are just 2 forward slanted stripes on the front quarter panel above the wheel well.) anyone have any opinions on this, or can photoshop some stripes onto a silver SVT? Thanks!

How about a big flaming bowl of rice on your front doors with a big X through it? Just kidding. Graphics are ricey. My opinion. Keep it clean. Maybe a few "sponsors" on your side skirts?

It sounds funnier. seriously though, i think the hashes look good on the vette, just wondering what they might look like on the tour with beefier fenders

since when did the fords become ricers??? no just kidding i think that people should do what they want as long as it doesnt make them look like a ricer. just my opinion heres a great example: when you put a park bench for a wing on the back of your car and you look like you should be driving down a run way at the nearest airport, that is ricey. but if you put on a few stickers of sponsers like said earlier then you should be good. again that is just my opinion. donttake it to heart.

On my sig you can see I have a '94 Aspire. Since I work in an auto salon I have access to anything imaginable as far as decals go. Since I will be autox'ing the Aspire (I know it's funny), I decided to put huge Ford logos from the bottom of the door to the top of the hatch on the rear (a'la Ford Focus rally car). I came damn close to doing this with the 'Tour until I got the Aspire for a beater/racer. We do quite a bit of vinyl decals on Hondas and the like. I have seen some pretty lame stuff, but as long as you keep the design tasteful and use only one or two colors the cars usually look really good. The grand sport decals sound like a cool idea. BTW, I made a great decal for my Contour last week. I'm sure you've all seen the "VTEC inside" decals on Hondas (look like the Intel logo). Well, A guy I work with has three (!) of them on his riced Civic, and they're all yellow! Anyway, I made one for my car. It says "Duratec Inside" in the circle, then underneath it says "VTEC behind". He didn't think it was very funny.

i thiknk being a ricer is more a state of mind than a look, even though the look plays a large role. some cars look ricey, and they are, they still haul a**. if you put asian writing on your ar, that's ricey. i've seen american cars with nice graphics, don't over do it.

well any one can put a turbo or supercharger on a 4 cyl or even add an intake to make their car haul a** as you would say but then you add on the huge wing, the graphics that are said to add 5hp!, then add the fart can exhaust and you have a ricer. i dont care if is american or foriegn. ive seen some ricey neons and contours. i love my contour and i cant stand the little angry bees that are running aroung and thiunking they can out do an american car. this is just a little pet peeve of mine. i guess not all true american car owners think the same way i do.!!

that's exactly what i'm saying, i think you got me wrong. the wings and fart cans make it bad. graphics that overwhelm the car are bad, but some look good, not all just some. i have no respect for a Kia with exhaust, but i do respect some foreign cars. for example, 300ZX twinturbo, Supra, and the RX-7.
