Actually, Ford's move to the mod motors was a moving saving move to have the parts apply to numerous engines across the board. True, Ford could do better to improve the total HP and HP per liter, and they have made significant strides in that department.
Now imagine if Ford would have stayed in the pushrod realm what kind of numbers the 5.0 would be putting out...
