And as for the wheels and tires... from tire rack:
18X9's ASA AR1 wheels (thats the cheap end of spectrum) $229 each.
with michelin pilots ($249 per tire 255/45-18 up front and $335 per tire 285/40-18 in the rear - again copmparable to OE equipment on the GT500) total cost not includiing shipping $2084. yeah you can get cheaper tires, but you aren't getting the performance of the OE tires (which are Goodyear F1 Supercars like on the Ford GT, the Koenigsegg CCr, and the McLaren F1)


And even if you saved money on the wheels, tires and brakes.. not only do you not get the performance but you still don't have the money to upgrade the area of the car that will be needed to handle the additional power with any durability.



Mark, its a moot point arguing. Some peolple don't understand the thoughts behind a wheel rounded car and what it would cost to build one. I gave up with my previous post, I'll let you fight the fight. :-)
