Sorry for your loss. Pets are like family for sure.
My wife's parents had to put their dog down just before x-mas 2004. It was really hard. Snoopy was almost 17 years. X-mas wasn't the same that year.
Our cat Sunny is 14 now and she is showing her age too.
Frig, I'm tearing up just talking about this.
