Sorry for your loss, Bailey. Rest assured that your dog was better off than most because she had parents who loved her. Here's something nice to think about.

I sort of felt that way too after I lost my dog, but I knew making that final decision is part of the responsibility one undertakes when adopting one. Plus, knowing how many great dogs are in shelters waiting to be adopted, I feel kind of selfish not currently having one (it's a temporary situation). I tell myself that my old mutt would be angry with me if I didn't give another shelter dog a good life.
