As for some of the questions, Roger, the bronze wheels are in the garage, and the roadster is a 2000, so I missed the motor change. But since the S54 motor is more high strung and not as reliable as the S52, and I didn't want a motor that grenaded itself, I know I made the right choice. The S52 is so mod-friendly, a friend of mine that has the coupe just put on a twin-screw supercharger and he's putting down 345 whp. And the S54's command almost 10k more, which I cannot afford.
Alex, neither car gets it right now, I have my old FZR 600 in there. I have to redo the garage and make room, then the BMW will go there.
CLASSVT, funny you should mention a "classic" muscle car, as I have a 1969 Camaro SS/RS 350 that is in need of restoration. My father is the original owner, and it's an original Ca. car, but we moved north to Canada and it went with us, which allowed it to get a lot of rust. Plans are in the works...
