Hmmmm.....well not sure how to help you. My suggestion is to call SCT and see if they can pull the program off of the chip. I'm betting they have the technology, and while it's there see what it will cost to have them fix the limiters you want dealt with.

Damn. I'm ready to order my ADC turbo kit. Not in a huge hurry, but I do have money in hand to buy parts for my "new" 99 SVT. The ADC kit is obviously the biggest item cost-wise.

Don't know what to do. If ADC is starting down this road, I don't want to make their problems my problem. I think I'll wait to see if they survive. Hardware without customer support is not a workable situation.

Sometimes nothing kills a business as fast as a little success.

It seems this thread is leading on the impression that ADC's service is bad. I dont see it that way. It sounds like an honest mixup/mistake and as a customer I feel they are doing their best to take care of me, it just sucks that the origional program was lost, the one that I trust because Chris' reputation on here is well known.

In addition, while on the subject of trusting Chris' work, I'll always trust the work of someone who is passionate and personally interested in the project they're working on. Chris had a contour, and was actively interested in the platform, so to think someone's going to try to build out this program "blindly" without the experience Chris had makes me slightly nervous.

That wasn't the point that I was trying to make, and I don't believe Tom was either. The point is, is that their customer service and customer awareness has really lacked as of late. As Tom mentioned, he was a long time customer of theirs, and when it came to getting a reburn of his Xcal2 after paying in a ton of money to their company, they basically shot him down. For me, it was the fact that they just didn't want my business. I talked to Shaun once, and he said I should really talk to Keith. Well, I went ahead and emailed them a few times, left a couple of voicemails, and left them PM's through CEG. Never heard any response, so I gave up on them. Oh well, it's a completely different situation, and it's well in the past. I just used this as an opportunity to talk about my dealings with ADC.

Well guys, since I sell my engines through aDC, I'll put a plug in here for them. Shawn is basically doing all of the internet and email answering so it's prety possible he's been overloaded. I can so up to a week before I get some responses back at times.

I really think what you're seeing here is more of an issue of growing pains involved with Keith going out on his own. It takes a good year or two to start getting a handle on a lot of the finer details and I'd be about sure that's what is happening. The main thing you've got to remember is that quality work takes time. If they do quality work (which ADC does) they're going to be busy and most likely can't drop everything at the moment you call. It's no different than dealing with HMS or even myself. If you want the product from us, it will get taken care of in due time, but can't always be at your schedule.

As far as Tom getting the cold shoulder, it could be that Shawn didn't recognize you as a past customer or major contributor to the site, etc. It could also just be ADC's policy in regards to the Xcal2. I know they got a ton of flack over their issue of not providing programs to people who bought the Xcal2 where others were doing it, but look how many got burned in that original deal.

Is there something wrong with the chip burner at ADC? The only chip I had made by them turned out currupt also. I had Chris Johnson from SCT trying to modify the current program. If anyone can do it he can since he is the creator of SCT. He said the program was currupt and that I should send it back to ADC for a new chip if I want to modify it or keep it if the car runs fine. Well the car ran fine on the dyno so I never ending up sending it back and then a friend of mine bought it later on.

I feel a lot better after talking with ADC today. They are building my program the same way they did before. They've got tons of MAF and timing maps that they've recorded over the last few years and they find one with the right mods to match my car and burn it. He said that since my first program was written, SCT has looked at it too and provided a few adjustments and fixes. Bottom line is, this program I'm getting now should be as good and most likely better than the origional that I had.

Report back when it's the car. Might want to check the fuel trims. JD's car was dangerously lean.
