I thought I heard Keiser wasn't doing the tuning at ADC anymore. They were goign to make a few non-tuning related changes (disable lower O2's) and send it back to me, but now they lost the program and have to re-do it. Should I be worried?

Wow, just wow! Anymore, the turbo kit is the only thing I'd consider doing business with ADC for. Evidently, your program isn't the only thing they've lost. They somehow lost 3 of my emails, 2 of my voicemails, and 2 PM's of mine.

One word: Brenspeed!

Ryan what color is your chip? Is the edge of it blue or black? I burned it so long ago it may be under a different format and that is why they couldn't find it.

Chris, thats what happened to me. I actually tried to get an XCAL2 from them but I stipulated that they load my old code that you/keith burned for me into the the unit. Or at least the equivalent translated code since they moved to SCT. No Go. They'd lost it or didn't have the ability or desire to translate it into the xcal2.
So then I asked if they could just throw the standard base code in there for my basic 3L turbo specs, and Nope! They wanted whatever they charge for a tune ON TOP of the price of the XCAL2. So I think they wanted like close to $600 altogether.
I countered by saying that was a bit over the top for me considering I already paid for the initial dyno tune, and that I paid for at least two reburns. I mean, I already paid for the tune I was asking for, and as you know Chris, the last two were my own changes and corrections that I asked you to fix/input for me.

So that stuff told me that there was NO past customer loyalty even though I had been a three-peat customer not only buying dyno time, but parts and labor. On top of that, I'm not just the average customer.
I had been building high-profile mods, staying on the forefront of this platform for power and I was using my past experiences to direct business their way for almost 3 years. Not after this last experience though.
I appreciate all that you did for me Chris, you are great guy and did a great job tuning and continuing to help me fine tune and perfect it on my car. Because of our combined efforts I honestly think I had the best running Forced Induction vehicle. It was very powerfull and could still pass Arizona emissions!
I also appreciate all that Keith did at the time, don't get me wrong about that. Things have just changed since I left for Iraq and came back.

So, I called Brenspeed up finally on Y2K's advice and he set me up with a minimal base tune designed for the injectors I had already plugged into the XCAL2 and sold me the PRP software. I've had to change everything else besides injector values from there, but at least it gave me a starting point.
As far as doing what I asked at good price (for a non group buy purchase) he did everything I had hoped for and took the time on the phone with me when I wanted to discuss the stuff.

No no, just if you are doing the mailorder back and forth sh!t. It really isn't their fault...ANYTIME you have to put your car down and send a chip back and forth in the mail...things will happen. Makes the Xcal2 seem lik heaven.

Here's the background:

The origional ADC chip you made for me was a RED module with a SCT stamp on the back of it, but the speed limiter wasn't removed. I know its possible to remove it on the XXY2 ECU because my old superchips module did it. When I asked ADC about it I remember being told that SCT would be updating the program and that we could give it another go. So I waited awhile for the tweaks to the program to be implemented and finally called ADC about it about 3 or 4 months ago. They said they saw a couple changes to the program that might fix it, so they sent me a reburned chip which I swapped out for my first chip from ADC. I put down a $200 deposit until they received the old RED chip back. Well the chip they sent me 3-4 months ago still hasn't fixed the speed limiter thing. I called about it and they contacted SCT, who this time recognized the problem from a couple other XXY2 owners and was doing another major update for my ECU code, and said to sit tight for a week or so. That turned into a month or so, until now, when I called them up. They said yup, there's a new program available, but now they can't find the origional program they just burned for me 3-4 months ago.

So I have a chip in my car right now with the program on it from you Chris, that works great and I have total confidence in it, except for the speed limiter thing. I figured that while they were reprogramming it maybe they could turn off the two rear O2's, which they agreed. But now they just can't find the program on their systems or its been corrupted or something. I'm hoping maybe if I send this chip I currently have in the car back to them, maybe they can pull the program off of it?

My greatest concern is loosing power. It wouldn't be a big deal to me if I lived in AZ I could just take the car to them and put it on the dyno to be sure... So I dunno what to expect at this point.

Chris was always very good to me...and Keith was too, however I have not dealt with them since Feb. They were awesome with the piston mix up too.
