Just used NXT for the first time tonight. I have to say I love the stuff. Very easy to apply and very easy to take off.

Still need to get the front end repainted.. the rest of the car is do for some good clay bar and klasse products as well.

T-red really responds to NXT You will love the results from using:

-clay bar
-Klasse AIO
-Klasse SG (two coats, waiting 8-12 hrs inbetween)
-NXT as a "topper"

Once you do this, please post the pics for us all to enjoy!

Thanks for the suggestion

It'll probably be a while. I'm putting my snow tires/wheels back on tomorrow when winter hits us again and I probably won't get down and dirty with the paint for a while

As a first step, do you want to use a pre-wax cleaner first, or will a clay bar do the job?

Second, how long should a claybar job take? Last year I started using one, then got tired after the hood and one fender, gave up, used a prewax cleaner then put on a new coat of wax. Also, this may be a dumb question for some of you, but when using claybar, do you want to go in one horozontal motion or in a circular, and use long or short strokes/circles?

Most use a paint cleaner followed by the claybar, the claybar does take a while tho, Im pretty sure your just supposed to go back and forth with the claybar (its been a while since ive done it)

P21S is the topper, not NXT. Drop the NXT and you will be fine.

Uh, no.

As has been stated several times in this thread:
wash, clay, cleaner, polish, seal

Strongly disagree.
On a dark colored car you want shine AND depth, of which NXT provides only shine. NXT is not a topper. NXT is similar to Klasse AIO - an all in one cleaner, polisher, but not as good as AIO. If you have AIO, you don't need NXT. If you have NXT, consider AIO as an upgrade when you run out of NXT.

Quick NXT review:
durability/longevity: terrible
depth: poor-average
ease of use: excellent
shine: very good

People seem to be misinformed about NXT and it strengths and weaknesses and what it's best suited for. In addition, I don't see why anyone would invest in high-quality/end products like Klasse and P21S and throw NXT into the mix.

And to restate, pick up some quality quick detailer. Not the OTC garbage from stores. IT will really prolong the wax-life of your hard work. I just started using Clearkote Quickshine and WOW. The stuff blows away just about everything I've tried (about 15 different QDs). The only thing remotely close is Zaino's QD. I strongly suggest trying it - very inexpensive in bulk (1 gallon).

Its just my opinion here, but I don't feel that NXT is the same "all in one" that Klasse AIO is, but I do agree about it not lasting long though. I will say this though, when NXT first came out, I tried on a T-red Tour (Mapoftazfosho's) and was blown away with it! I can't post the pics right now, but when I get home I'll do so. I guess when it comes right down to it, I have NXT in my arsenal for "sentimental reasons", you understand, right Pete I do re-tract my statement about NXT to be used as a "topper". I'd use NXT like this:

-clay bar
-Klasse AIO
-NXT

I can't this enough, Klasse AIO is an amazing cleaner/polish. I clayed/AIO/SG/Pinnacle'd my wifes Ranier a couple weekends ago and even after claying, the AIO still pulled "stuff" out of the hood, amazing! Afterwards, the silver was much brighter I'm not going to do anything to her ride till the middle of the spring where I'll probably just add a coat of NXT because its easy to use and will just "add" to the protection, not be something to rely on
