I had a similar incident with my moldings.
I thought about reapplying them also, but it would be a tedious proceedure. This is the sort of thing that you're pretty commited to once you start. Instead I sanded and buffed the overspray line I uncovered and it looks pretty good.
I agree, I would try touching it up. Maybe same touch-up paint, sanding & buffing would do the trick but I can't say without seeing, of course. Good Luck!
