Haha you can stick your hand in there. They have teeth but they are still a stupid scared little fish. Piranha's arent the beasts they are made out to be. Thought they do have feeding frenzies, dont stick your hand in there at that time!

Its no problem putting your hands in there now. They are very small, only 1.5-1.75". They just today started getting their red/ornage on the anal fins. But since they are in my shop, they are getting used to a lot of movement and arent very skittish anymore. Especially when i put the net in. They know i have guppies then. They come right to the net.
When they get bigger and could actually bite me, i just have to make sure they are fed before i clean or do anywork in the tank.
The oscar is the only fish i have heard of in a piranha tank that has a chance of making it, aside from the pleco. although they do get eaten by the piranhas every now and then, they are agressive, and he is the boss right now. When the piranhas get big enough to be a threat, i'll move him. But if the piranhas are fed well, they shouldnt bother him.

Its funny, i put him in there so there was something to look at when the piranhas were hiding, but he kicked the piranhas out of their corner, and now they swim all over the tank all day.

You could probably put in some Australian Rainbor fish in there or some other quick moving dither fish.
