see, thats some non biblical bs for ya, cahnneling through a priest to god, thats first of all rediculous, its as if you dont need a savior or the holy spirit, all you need is a priest, i am not a denomantional christian, i go to a home church, and not father as in your dad, its a title, like mister, or misses, Father is reserved for God, and your dad is your father, get it?

All of this arguement about religion and who said what and how everything is interpreted drives me crazy and makes me happy that I am agnostic. My theory on religion: it was created to provide a set of morals and values and to give man a "reason" why we are here. Now to the pot arguement. A lot of my friends are in the pharmacy program which requires a 3.8gpa. They smoke a fair share many times a week, they arent "dumb" or "burned out." It really bugs me that "potheads" are looked down upon by society and are labeled as criminals or losers. Most are peaceful indivuals. The only crime involved is with the dealers. For someone to sit there and smoke up in peace and just relax should not be a crime, while getting totally wasted and being loud, obnoxious, vomiting, stumbling etc is generally accepted. Alcohol brings out totally different personalities in people. I don't see anything wrong with drinking in moderation. If pot was to be legalized, it should be treated the same way as alcohol. There needs to be a set of standards established and it should be regulated and taxed. If the "crime" were to be taken out of pot, then that frees up more time for cops to focus on serious crimes and cracking down on harder drugs. my .02

Welcome to Christianity, where half of the rites are pagan-based, some of the law was borrowed from other suspect religions and societies and where EVERY Christian religion today has it's roots buried deep into the wells of Catholicism.
Does it help that I when I address priests outside of prayer, I use a lower-case "f" instead of the upper-case "F" when I'm communing with God?
I believe there are many ways to God; a priest is simply one of the more "formal" routes.
I also don't get too hung up on the uses of Abba, Father, Yaweh, Lord or too many other labels that certain people assign to the monotheistic concept of God. Given that he was a dark-skinned Arab in appearance, I'm not too bent out of shape when some even call him Allah...

As I pointed out, that is the common pothead you're thinking about. I know of many business owners, very successful college students, etc. that smoke weed. Probably many people around you smoke but will never tell you that because of your perceptions of what a pot smoker is. And who said anything about pot making you cool?

I still don't get your point. So you're saying it's ok for you to responsibly use alcohol but not for others to responsibly use marijuana? Or because it's marijuana that the people will be high and driving your loved ones around? Do you drive your loved ones around drunk?
And you don't have to smoke marijuana to get high. It can be cooked with fat/oils and ingested.
