when i got my car there was no keyfob with it. how would i tell if my car has an alarm system. cuz i am thinking the other onwer just lost the fob but i am not sure.

no contour had a factory alarm, keyless entry only. the factory add on alarm would have used the factory keyless entry remotes to arm/disarm the system

you can check that by looking for the keyless entry module behind the glove box and in a post 98 the antenna is mounted in the trunk on the rear deck
