I have the A4 sidemarkers and I'd like to make a change. Not liking the white lenses or the amber bulb anymore. I read alot about the clear A6 sidemarkers in the search...and I want clear sidemarkers w/clear bulb...but I was wondering about the Jetta sidemarkers instead. I've seen some of them in parking lots and thought the looked pretty cool. Are they much different from the A6 ones (having never seen the A6 ones)? Will it be an easy & direct swap for either the A6 or the Jetta sidemarkers? Talking about the new body style Jetta of course... Thanx!

A LOT of grinding involved... They are much larger. In fact, the mounting hole is almost as big as the markers tehmselves. If you don't mind a lot of grinding, it'll fit.

I used the A6 markers, and all I had to do was grind down the plastic on the side marker itself, and not alot at that. No body modification needed, just a little common sense setting up the diode/resistor.

How did you enlarge the holes, and did you prime the edges? Any signs of rust yet?
