Is it possible that your paint is checking? A problem with ford cars is than from about 95-98 they were putting way too much paint on the cars.When you do that the paint will eventually start to show small tiny starburst cracks in the paint. Wax will get in them and on a dark car look like hell. And the sun will actually make the car worse. I've seen some cars with checking on one side and on the other the paint is perfect. There is unfortunately only one sure cure...strip to bare metal and repaint. Hope you arent at that point. good luck. :p
