Being the keen home mechanic that I am (riiiight!!), I decided that I should probably attempt replacing my E0's deceased license plate bulbs. Well, checking the owner's manual, it suggests that the bulb holders are held in by screws. Checking the car reveals (amazingly) no screw-held holders. Can anyone assist this bone-head with some advice on what should be a rather simple job?

Gen 1 Contours had screw in bezels. Gen 2 Contours have push in bezels. Use a flat head screwdriver to carefully pry them out, or push them out from the inside of the trunk.

Thanks Chris. Nice of Ford to have accurate info in their owners manuals. There's no easy way to press them out from inside the trunk lid, so I'll try the careful pry out method.
