My moms car needs some R134 and i bought it for her at work (Advance Auto Parts) but i forgot to look into the Haynes Manual!!! lol i dont know where the Refrigerant goes into because supposibly theres two spots, one for cold (refrigerant) and one for the heater part. Where is it located to put the R134 in a 98 Dodge Intrepid 2.7L. please hurry since the sun is going down quickly. Any how-to's or hints???
Thanks, RObert

there are two schrader valves located somewhere along the AC lines. one is high pressure side and the other is the low pressure side. the refill kit you bought should come with a hose, right? it will only fit on to one of the valves.

Start the car and turn the Air Conditioning on when you add the R134A to the low pressure side of the A/c system. That will lower the pressure on the low pressure side. It's good to keep the refrigerant can upright so that the gases are added to the system and not the liquid because the low pressure side of the A/C system has has low pressure gas instead of liquid. The High pressure side has liquid R134A.

yeah, just for future reference, NEVER tap into the high side if the car has the same size fittings (i.e. R12)...
But yeah, you should be good on the R134a... the fittings are different sized, so you can only hook that kit you bought up to the low-side...
Good to go dude!
