I used the Fel-Pro gaskets (I doubt they are thicker than OEM, I'd even put money on it they aren't...) and had my heads milled .003" and have no issues at all. 2005 Ford F150 SuperCab FX4 1964 Chevrolet Impala SS 1998 CSVT: 354HP/328TQ @ 10 psi, now gone
