It's been a while since I have been so heavily bent on causing great bodily harm to another person. I really wanted to repeatedly bloody my fists on this punk-assed un patriotic leach. There's a time and a place to vent your frustration, or to excercise your freedom of speech (the one protected by our service men and women and our government). A trubute to the Troops was not the time or place. Anywhere near me was a really bad idea.

With any luck the incident is over and done with, there will be no newspaper articles or lawsuits.

Most people don't get the big picture of what we are really doing in Iraq. We are planting the seeds of democracy, and it is costing us dearly(in both lives and money). Just as everyone was screaming that Reagan was going to cause WWIII by escalating the arms race(which by the way bankrupted the USSR), we will have to wait 20 years to let history decide if Bush's convictions were correct. This is something that we should have been doing in the middle east for 40 years. After 9/11, it is no longer just crazed suicide bombers on TV. And please don't anyone give my the liberal rant "but Bush lied to us about WMD's." He had them and he killed thousands of Kurds and Iranians with them. He may not have had the nuclear capability that every thought he did, but he had the intent(just ask the Israelis). The question that no one seems to be asking is "where the f-ck are they now?"

There were a lot of apparently valid reasons for going over there and maybe some of them don't seem as good now, but the voting the people standing up over there to be heard and elect a new government???? THAT is all the validation anyone needs to see that they are hungering for freedom.

Well the only thing left to decide is whether it should have been the US government with our Allies spearheading this government change. I don't know, but I don't see any other nation jumping up to do it.

In the end, we are left with the cards that history had now dealt us.. I mean ancient and Recent history. The Radical jihadists have spoken and the battle lines are drawn. As far as I'm concerned, the gloves are off now and this is war.

So in that context, we can't just pull out. We can't go back to yesterday!!! As a people we have to stop our division and our whining and just get doing what needs to be done. Pulling out immediately is supremely wrong. Pulling out at all is wrong. Pulling BACK to the borders and letting things start to settle down might be a better idea.

I tend to think if we moved our bases outside the cities and to the borders, then prevented any more terrorists or foreign fighters from entering the country might be the best way to get those people to take up their own torch for defending and taking care of themselves. Then as they solidify the governmental power, they come out to the borders and relieve us so we can come home.

Wow how typically American. You can defend our being in Iraq and bringing democracy to the world but you want to beat some guys butt because he does not like Bush. One of the things that we are trying to bring to Iraq is freedom of speech. That guy was using his freedom of speech just as we do on here. His right, this is America after all.

he was saying bad stuff about bush? i love bush but if he doesnt that just means that there is more for me. although, he being a nasty looking character i bet he doesnt get a lot of visits from the bush.
