Not sure why the dyno shows the wrong date, but who cares? Those are some good numbers! What mods were on the car at the time of the dyno?
Mark
BTW, if you look at the times, the dyno runs are all one minute apart??? No, that isn't possible. Also, in one minute the atmospheric pressure changed?
Probably the time stamp came when the guy plotted them. Most shops use an old azzed computer to run the dyno.

Thanks for the input, gentlemen.
The dyno was done by one of two SCT approved dealers here in North Carolina. He did each run about 5 minutes apart from each other. (Run the car up, let it spin down, wait 5 mins, do it again) He had some old laptop he was using, I think it was a PII 350 MHz, but I'm not sure.
He was supposed to send me some sort of real-time data files that I could simulate on the free software from SCT, but he never sent it to me no matter how many times I asked. I felt ripped on this part since I paid 60.00 for my three runs. Plus he didnt know if SCT worked on the CSVT, which it does, so I dont think I'll be taking my business here.
I was debating on getting the SCT stuff but maybe I should hold off if what Warmonger says is true, which makes sense to me from what I have read about our stock computers.

Well, there is no need to get it if you are satisfied with what you got, and if you just want to add some headers. No need to spend the dollars and introduce the headaches that can come with dyno tuning in a chip. It can go very right, or if the guy tuning it is a dipshit or some random fluke happens....you'll be pumping in dollars and be pissed off all the time. However, if it works right and works right the first time then you'll be celebrating all the way home with all the extra power a good tune can give you. Thats really the crux of it, if you know what you are getting into you can make an educated decision.

Well, I got my car on the dyno yesterday and it made 170whp/150wtq so your numbers seem right on the mark because I have similar mods. I also realized that my Y-pipe is not as optimized as I thought. Let's just call it half done.
The good news is that we finally finshed the drivetrain and suspension part of the '98 GT my uncles and I have been working on for the past year. It made 400whp/387wtq.

I put down 159 hp and 155 tq with my SE...totally untuned and with a spark issue. I can't find the graph but it was NASTY! Wish I could've had the opp to tune that engine... 167 doesn't seem like all that much for an SVT with dyno tuning. Durks car did 183 hp with tuning and totally stock exhaust! I prob shouldn't even post until I have my new numbers coming this March.

Anyways, this is a dyno and drag forum, not a "Find every mistake on a post and flame the poster for it" forum. I am sometimes scared I will even get flamed for grammatical mistakes and spelling errors, much less an error in date. This is a great site except for the flamers that roam around
I couldn't agree with you more and its gotten worse, the guy who bought Hectors old ride got flammed and was so pissed, he just sold it because of the CEG Now thats a bit extreme, but for this forum to survive and thrive people need to stop "nit picking" and bashing other peoples rides that don't have Contours anymore. People eventually move up and move on, but still like the car and want to be apart of the CEG, but its becoming increasingly more difficult these days

Pete, the mid 160's seems to be the "going rate" for bone stock CSVTs
