Run a wire from the battery to the remote on the amp. Somewhere accesable but a toggle switch. turn it on and off as you please.
I have hooked them up to the tail lights that way the amp turns on when i turn on my lights, Works well if you drive with your lights on all the time,

Why are you making this more complicated than it needs to be?
To the original poster: is the accessory outlet active only when the key is in the ignition? Usually you can tap into that for a steady 12v remote source that is active when the car is on.
edit: yeah pretty much what some people said, accessory is the power wires to your cigarette lighter outlet. Easy to get to, also located close to the HU.
