Well I finally got an estimate back from the dealer. $1500 to fix everything - that includes a new fender, SVT skirt, E0 rim/tire, rotor and studs. Even if I find a used E0 Rim/tire, fender from Todd, and ignore the cracked skirt this would still cost more than my deductible. Might be worth it to take the insurance - I could try haggling with them over the at fault part, I've had an accident/violation free record with them since I started driving.

BTW Stazi - yes I did run hub rings on those wheels after I had problems with vibration/torquing them properly.

One things for sure - I'm carrying a wrench in the car and stopping to check the lugs first sign of any noises from now on!

Well turns out State Farm dosent cover it at all if its damage from a mechanical failure - only if it's an "at fault" accident where I hit something. And of course that would raise my rates alot.

So Im going to just fix what is needed to drive it again. Anyone have an E0 wheel/tire available? Todd PM me about that Fender BTW.

I'm also wondering this. I've also had this happen. I was on I-70 and started noticing noise and vibration. When I finally get off and check it out, 3 lugs fall to the asphalt when I pop off the wheel cover. ONE lug was holding the entire wheel on, and it snapped off as soon as I jacked up the car and the weight was off it. Any definitive ideas? So far it sounds like instances of bad torquing, but in my instance it popped up out of nowhere, I'd had the wheels on there for a few months with no problems.

All it takes is for ONE stud to snap then the others will snap quickly as the load goes up on each stud each time one breaks.

i.e.
4 studs = 25% load
3 studs = 33.3% load
2 studs = 50% load
1 stud = 100% load

Well this is turning out alot better than I expected. I had the dealer fix what was needed to get the car drivable - only cost $165. Drove home with the donut on the front. Took the wheel/tire to discount tire to have it looked at, and although the wheel is gouged up badly, the lug holes and hub area look OK - they think it could be reused. I guess I won't know until I try to mount it? The tire however has a small impact bulge on it. But I found a used replacement for $35 on ebay

So I still might replace the rim, maybe even all of them if I see a cheap set I like. I'm just glad this isn't breaking the bank!!
