Gearbox & header install... Hmmm. Wonder if the shop re-installed your wheel & used an impact wrench.... Hmmm.
Seems to be a very common cause of these types of failures. I always DEMAND that the shop install my non-steel wheels & hand tighten the lugs and I WATCH them do it!
Couple years ago, some momo put an air wrench to my BMWs BBS wheels & it almost started a fist fight. He was a lazy jackass.
Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.

I've been in that position before, and man, it sucks. what sucks even worse is I knew where your story was going to end well before I finished reading it...sorry man. just remember, installing new studs is a really easy procedure, buy them and do it yourself

you could have gotten those at Autozone for about $2 each. and putting them in is easy. i should know, i had to replace about ten of them last year.

I know... only problem was that I was in South Dakota... about 12 hours away from either of my residences at the time!
Funny thing was I got the car back and the reciept said my clutch was going out... Guess they have never driven a stage III before.

Austin did you ever find out if your aftermarlet rims had hubcentric rings on them? Because if they didn't that may have weakened the studs and got you where you are now.
Also with aluminum wheels you should ALWAYS retoque them after 100 miles of putting them on as they will almost always shift on the hub and loosen.
Good luck getting her back together again.
