Austin did you ever find out if your aftermarlet rims had hubcentric rings on them? Because if they didn't that may have weakened the studs and got you where you are now.
Also with aluminum wheels you should ALWAYS retoque them after 100 miles of putting them on as they will almost always shift on the hub and loosen.
