At a local trim shop, very 'hole in the wall' looking place but the guys are very helpful and all the work I've seen looks very good. Had to order the vinyl from Ford but after they had it it only took about a day to finish.

Looking good!! You have to paint it? I have not thought too much of that. I would be happy with black, that was available right? Did you paint yours? The new arm rest looks VERY cool to match the SVT.

Thanks,
Mike

Thanks very much,

I'm positive that it will have to be painted to look 'stock' IF you have the Midnight Blue interior. I'm not sure about the tans, grays, and that goofy 'Truffle' color Ford made. Some of those may interchange between years quite well. At this point I've painted numerous interior pieces and it really isn't very hard. Just make sure you prep the surface good and it will keep the paint looking new for a long time. You can use alcohol or an actual vinyl 'degreaser'...not sure of its actual name. Then maybe some light sanding(600+ grit) and its ready for paint...oh, a primer coat helps too. wink

And, unfortunately black was never a main color option for our cars. There is the black trim pieces in the dash but other than that, no.

--------------------------------------------------

Part Numbers/Color Names that might come in handy to others;

@$13 M4JZ-19M5471073H = Alchemy Interior(Midnight Blue)

@$13 M4JZ-19M5471075H = Truffle Interior(Gray/Tan mix, gray in some light, tan in others)

Charcoal Gray is also a Ford color that is basically black and, I believe, is used for those black dash pieces. The P/N should be the same as the first two with the exception of the last two number.

VS-8 = Medium Gray Dupli-Color Vinyl & Fabric Color(Available at Walmart, $2.99 a can, closely matches medium gray upper pillar panels found in my car)
