Yes most of us have done them in addition to a 3L swap. Have it all out might as well go big. Some of us had to go big due to necessity.

Yea you got one of those on-off clutches right?

I think what he meant was, there is no spring in the clutch plate, so the clutch "really" grabs hard unlike clutch plate with springs that allowing it not to grab so hard.

No the Spec III has springs in it. But it is pretty "touchy"

Thats what i mean the engagment is on/off, theres no slipping the clutch. Its engaged or not. Or "touchy"

stay away from the stage 2. The Kevlar just isn't designed for street use. I have one and i'm pretty sure it's glazed. If you're not doing any FI then the stage 1 will be fine, otherwise the stage 3 will do for high HP applications...but regardless - AVOID KEVLAR LIKE THE PLAGUE!

3 grand on a tranny rebuild + glazed clutch after 2 years = pwned!

I have a SPEC stage 1 and I absolutely love it. I plan to start modifying my SVT pretty heavily come summer, but as of right now its stock except for the upgraded transaxle (Torsen T2 diff, Focus Shift tower, Updated Forks, and obviously SPEC clutch).

For me its like this: If my SVT fails (engine or tranny breaks) within the next 2 years, ill mod the [censored] out of it and just make it super fast/nice. If it dosent im buying a Cobra. Kinda risky but its the game im gonna play.
