Hey guys I was wondering what you thought of the SPEC Stage 2 clutch and if it is worth the extra money over a Stage 1, I have a 2000 CSVT and the tranny is getting rebuild so I am also doing the clutch, so I need some advice and feedback. So let me know, thanks guys

If not doing any forced induction stage 1 is more than sufficient.

Has anyone ever seen or heard of a spec one going south? I know mine is perfect(but i dont abuse it) Demon runs a spec 1, and hes making alot more tq, than most people on this site. I would guess that a spec2 would be overkill for anything less than big turbo #'s. Although my friend runs a spec2 on his fairly stock se, and the clutch is smooth as butter, doesnt mean its not overkill though.

Get a Stage 1. You will be very happy.
Have the stock flywheel lightened a little, throw in an LSD & new forks, and you're all set.

I have the stage II as well, with only 1k or so miles on it...not able to abuse it. Greg (DemonSVT) has said that under constant abuse the kevlar in the II will allow it to slip. I search for hours before my purchase and saw more yeahs than nays on this site. I will say though, I wish I would have expanded my search to other vehicle sites to see what they had to say about the II.

I have the stage 2 and have about 26K on it now. It is smooth and I haven't experienced any slippage out of it yet. I sit in stop and go traffic for about an hour every afternoon (14 mile drive takes me 1 - 1.5 hrs to get home) and haven't had an issue so far. I am glad I went with stage 2.
