Well, heres the latest news.

This Friday I get an email from Paypal, filed from the seller of the auction for a reversal of the down payment of car. Im furious right now!

Ebay requires a $500 deposit for the car. Initially, the seller stated that of that $500, $400 was a non refundable deposit. My dad said, he wasn't about to drive 10 hours to buy the car only to find out he doesn't like it and then be out $400 plus the cost of a trip, food, and hotel. The seller agreed to drop the $400 non refundable deposit and just asked for $45 instead which was the cost of the auction. All of this was in writing on the ebay auction (Luckily for us). When we drove down there and didn't like it, we had him paypal us the $465 back immediately. Needless to say, after I got this email from Paypal, negative feedback was definetely left for the seller. Hopefully things work in our favor since we have in writing he would drop the $400 non refundable deposit.

Thats good...honestly, you shouldn't have to pay anything though. His description of the car was less that fair, as you noted NUMEROUS problems with the car that were not mentioned in the Ebay listing. That alone is against ebay rules. But, I suppose paying $45 for nothing, is better than paying $500 for nothing. Best of luck.
