Personally, I don' think owning a brand that was "how old or new" when you were in JUNIOR HIGH, and keeping them through COLLEGE (hence, not trying anything else.. not participating in the MASSIVE ADVANCES in speaker tech, or sound quality) and saying that is a GOOD thing is a very great reason to buy them alone.

That is like me saying that my parents have an old phonograph.. still kickin since my MOM was 15.. I think he should go that route!!!

M&K's line up, (aforementioned 750's and LCR series) are ABOLUTELY AMAZING! My parents own a few and I would give most of what I have on me to own some of those.
