The short version..
I made Ellmers95 an offer on the Exel wheels he has advertised in the classifieds.
12/5/05 - I send him a bank Money Order.
12/5 - 12/7 - I get 6 emails from him in a two day span talking about his car, my car, and did I mail the check out yet
12/12 - I write to Anthony "did you get the check yet?"
12/13/05 - Anthony writes yes he did, sorry Yahoo account is screwed up (he's mailing me from AIM account) and promising to send the wheels "in the next day or two"
12/17/05 - after hearing nothing, I write "hey, what's happening" email
12/19/05 - still heard nothing, I write a "i'm getting aggravated" email
12/20/05 - Anthony sends me a "so very sorry, illness in the family, out of town" email, says he'll be back in town thursday and will send the wheels ASAP.
12/21/05 - I reply, requesting both his phone number and that he call me at the phone number that has been at the bottom of every one of my emails to him.
12/24/05 - still nothing from Anthony, I write "I'm done with this, send me my money back now" email
as of 1:00pm 12/27/05 - still nothing from Anthony.
At this point I am in contact with my bank to trace the Money Order and to pursue my legal options.
I am also in the process of compiling all the emails and I will post the entire chronology as a reply to this thread.
In the meantime, I would strongly recommend against anyone making this guy an offer on his wheels! At this point he looks like another candidate for the Charlie Wenzel award to me.
