OP rwea14 CEG\'er R Joined: Feb 2005 Posts: 154 Merrimac, ma	Just went out and started my car and had light snow on the windshield so I did a quick wipe. About 5 minutes later did the same thing on the highway and all of the sudden the wipers stopped in the middle of the passage and stayed there. Could still hear the motor working and it stayed on the intermittent cycle even when I shut it off. Thinking gears maybe, any ideas?? Could manually push the wipers back to starting point easily 1998.5 Silver Frost SVT #4978 of 6535 160,000 miles and still going..

One of the windshield wiper bolts had come loose...I had to tighten the bolt at the base of the windshield wiper. It might have a protective covering over it that you need to snap off. A few layers of skin off my knuckles and I am wiping again... Thanks for the reply 1998.5 Silver Frost SVT #4978 of 6535 160,000 miles and still going..
