I just bought a 98 SF/MB CSVT and it came with an 03 taurus motoe that needs to be swapped into it. At first I was going to do the work for the person who owned it but he has now sold me his project. As soon as the motor is in the car will be for sale. I wanted to get opinions and pics on how the EGR tube should be mated and how and what you guys used to make them meet. I remember seeing pics but I didnt think of saving them then. Also I will be contacting stazi for a fuel rail to work with the 98 return SVT lines. Look for my PM staz....

What the hell is a 98 SF/MB CSVT????

Special Forces Mega Buggy CSVT ?

If it is a CSVT why not use the contour fuel system and call it a day?

If it is a CSVT why not use the contour fuel system and call it a day?




You can't with a simple drop-in swap (i.e. keep the oval port UIM/LIM).

Todd is right Tom silver frost midnight blue. I am going to do a simple drop in swap because I am going to be reselling the car as soon as the swap is done as you can see in my sig. I will have pics of the car as soon as I wash it and wax it. I bought it with a few items already on it but it still has the stock components for whomever buys it. The added mods are a k&n cone filter, bat pipe, slotted rotors, and b&m short shifter. Those are what I have seen so far I dont beleive it had any other mods. I am also going to add a new Stock SVT clutch to keep the price down and to give the buyer some assurance he wont have to chance his clutch anytime soon. The car shows 86k on the clock but it has been sitting for a few years!!!! Aside from the usual hazy headlights the car looks great!

PS. anyone have any 98 SVT centercaps?

I have one or two 98 centercaps... brand new. I'd have to find it but you can have it for the price of shipping.

AS far as the 3L engine, it is an SVT. I think the single biggest thing that makes an SVT engine unique are the cams and the upper intake manifold.
I wouldn't want to buy any SVT with an N/A Taurus motor under the hood!
Now if it had the cams and the upper/lower intake on it... then it'd really be an SVT with Bonus material (i.e. bigger displacement motor) and would be extra cool then.

Just my honest opinion though and I'm sure someone will buy it. Now if it was boosted and there was a purpose for giving that stuff up, maybe okay.
