Welcome. Just browse around Aesthetics, and Duratec Performance, and read the FAQs. Plenty of mods can be done, some cheap, some expensive. Read up about maintenance also.

Welcome .
Some Duratec 2.5 tips: Keep an eye on the temperature gauge, if it goes past "M" in normal for long, waterpump needed. Add a little extra coolant if the low coolant light comes on too much, 1/2 inch above max, cold engine. And the radiator fans should run when the a/c is turned on, or at "M" in normal (about.) Happy Holidays!

Welcome! Congrats on your new ride! Most people run an extra half quart to a quart of oil in their Duratec. There can be an oil starvation issue on sweeping right hand turns and this helps to prevent that. Read up on the individual forums (stickies at the top) and you will learn a great deal about your new tour. Also, check out the "Main Site" (top of page), there you will find all sorts of information, where to buy parts, aftermarket parts, how-to's, etc. Enjoy the site and your Contour.

Congrats! I just sold my Contour with 77K (see link in sig) for that price a few weeks ago. It's worth almost twice that - you certainly got a good deal.
Purely out of curiosity .. what color exterior and interior? Leather/cloth?
