Just wondering if someone has had a similar experience and how they delt with it.

I purchased a SVT UIM off ebay on Dec 18, 05. I was the winning bidder, as soon as the auction ended I promptly payed for the item via Paypal. Two days later I got a message from the seller stating "I thought I wouldn't need it for the 3.0l, but it turns out it's supposedly easier to use than the 3.0l version. Sorry for the confusion, it looks like i'll be keeping it."

I don't think this is fair, but I am not sure of the rules. Can you choose to keep the item for yourself even after you have sold it, or are you obligated to sell it no matter what?

Here is a link to the auction

I have not received any money back, but in all fairness I don't want my money back I want the item I paid for.

Hope this doesn't turn into a mess, but I am starting to loose faith in ebay, this isn't the first time something has went wrong. Even if someone has a 100% positive feedback score it doesn't tell the whole story.
