Make sure the splines are lined up correctly then give the end of the axle, with the nut threaded on slightly to give you a better target to hit, a good smack with the hammer. Worked great for me. I think a block of wood to hit with a mini sledge hammer would work as well.



ok, so no special tools or anything... just give it a whack to get it on past the snap ring?
