Well, by sub took a crap this weekend, cone separated from the surround. So i need a replacement. I've only got about $100 to spend and my audio knowledge is minimal. So what do you guys suggest. I got a lot of mixed results in my searches figured i'ld just come out and ask.

My box is 1.48 ft.^3 and cut for a 12"

Anyone with something to sell PM me

Josh

How much power do you have to work with? What is your preferrence on SQL vs. SQ?

I'm putting about 250 max watts out. The sub is primarily for driving bass for when i crank my metal, to pound out the lows when i'm playin rap, and to bring out the bass guitar when i'm listening to country. If i understand the two correctly I would most likely put myself in the SQL catagory as i love to crank it up regularly.

My old sub was an American Pro(600watts rated, but would reach its limits with a 250watt amp ) I got for free.

I thuroughly apologized for my noob-ness in this area of things.

I just got a 12 infinity perfect from e-bay about $90 shipped. It looks great, but I gotta wait for Christmas to put it in, since it's a present. If interested, I can get you the name of the company when I get home. PM me if interested.

Infiniti speakers are meant for small sealed enclosures... I think .80cuft if I remember correctly. I think a 5500 series MTX thunder or a kicker Comp CVR might be more suited for your budget and application.

That Perfect 12 would work. Best Buy has Alpine (dual spider), RockfordFosgate(lower line), Sony, Poweracoustik Fubar12 , that's what its called! ! If the foam surround detached in one piece, you might be able to reglue it, use flexible craft glue or maybe silicone (small bead).
