I have a single truck box, so I have room for a decent size L-bracket. I went to Home Depot and picked up a pair of shelf brackets... Basically, a piece of metal curved into an L shape. I painted them Silver Frost, mounted them to the box, and self-tapping screwed them into the spare cover. It's worked really well, looks good, and can be taken out in less than 3 minutes.

I love your set up. I like the idea of mounting the audio to the top of the trunk. Brilliant. It saves a lot of trunk space rather than having a sub with a box which can take up lot of space.
