The oil reserves are running out. US reserves have peaked in 1970's thus the start of "the oil is running out" scenerio. But the global market alleviated homeland running day and the Middle East and Russia filled in the gap.

The problem is, they too will runout as both sources have already peaked. This means there is no turn back point - the supply is depleting and there is no more.

When I think about how the petroleum is affecting every part of my life, it's sobbering to think the future will have to cope with something different. I think it's the industrialized nations that will suffer most. Afterall, if don't already use Hefty garbage bag to collect your garbage, or have central heating to heat your home, what difference does that matter?
