That thread is cluttered with opinions on who's controlling the oil and such. What I saw, and is referring your attention to is, not who but what's available to control.
If indeed Hubbert's theory is correct(and apparently he was correct for American oil reserves) this is a wake up call for the global oil supply(regardless of who's controlling it).
