How much do you guys think it may cost to get intorior parts from a Mondeo and ship them here? If they even fit?

I dunno if that Mondeo console will fit Contours, but I can tell you that it's VERY similar to the pre-98 Contour/Mystique consoles, and that does fit 98+.

That would be sweet.

It would be even better if you got the whole car! Mmmm

Why no Contour wagon? Probably precisely the reasons you stated .. they already had an Escort and Taurus one. The Mondeo is Ford's European flagship model, so they had more versions (including sedan/saloon, hatch, and wagon/touring).

At least Ford of Europe redesigned for c-pillar on the mondeo, unlike the bean-counters over here in the good ole u.s. of a. (see taurus wagon).

I noticed that too. Both types of Taurus wagons used sedan doors, although they integrated it better on the 96-up. I'll bet the Mondeo wagon roof would have been too low with the sedan doors. I noticed the Front doors on the Fusion/Milan/Zephyr have a crease, fenders don't! Ford's still at it. At least the crease is hidden from the normal view , under the mirror.
