um...well...yeah. they havent had it for thousands of years and dont even really seem to want it. one iraqi group just wants to be the group in power. they all hate each other more than the North and the South did. unfortunately, i think that our soliders are losing their lives for pure politics, not to "save" anyone. at least in the first Persian Gulf war we were helping defend Kuwait. this time all we are doing is GBs version of the Crusades. and because he actually, really, personally feels for the people of Iraq?!? please if that's the case then how come we arent invading every other country that is being ruled under a dictator??
i find it expected if we lose soliders defending our own soil, even "acceptable" if defending the soil of an ally, but to DIE for this bs?!? wtf?! i know the soldiers dont have a choice, and i can respect that, but wtf to our government for using them as tools for some agenda?! my cousin is headed back there in Feb for the 15th(?) time for his company that builds the Predator. if he were to die over there from some insurgent attack, what would i say?! would i say i was proud that he gave his life defending our country?! defending one our staunch allies?! or by ensuring that some [censored] muslim in the desert has the chance to vote a new radical cleric into power, and was possibly the one who killed him?! un[censored]believable! btw, he was a very proud Marine (former? inactive?) and is about as hardcore as they come but he tells me about all the bs he has seen over there and how the people there dont want us there. we build something for them, they tear it right down. he simply says we should not be over there and need to get out now! he says we're losing guys over there for nothing!
