Don't really know where you're getting info on that. Not true. Some states the law is hazy but they mostly refer to color.
Most LED lights will not accomodate the wiring setup that Louis and I did. The reason is that an LED is a diode that needs to have a certain voltage to be lit. Some of the newer LEDs being used on some of the tractor trailer beds are dual operation where they cost more money. I'm betting yours will only operate on 12v. If you lower the voltage they probably won't work. They more than likely definitely won't be dim like you can do with an incandescent bulb. Chris Hightower and I have worked with these things for a while but he may know something I don't.
