as for our war budget, why do we need 1.5 million troops and 400 billion dollers? to put ourselfs more in dept and have more "troops" killed? sure having a slightly larger army would be nice, but really? what purpose would it serve? REALLY? its not like we would put them to use anyways.
we don't bother anyone so I think the least thing we have to worry about... is you guys gettin bombed along our border.. then just maybe, we may just get slightly worried.
as for bush supporters.. hes an idiot, his speech today was pathetic (yes it was aired on can television just cus us canucks like to laugh at him) I love how he finally admitted he plunked up, moron. isn't he at a 10% vote rate right now or something?

Yeah. I think the humor in those two quotes from you serves the post well. Sooooo...did the Canadians that participated in the Persian Gulf war become UN-ians when they put on their fatigues? This is silly, please don't respond to that.  And the Canadians fought as UN-ians in the Korean War, so you'll have to modify your previous statement to say WWII instead of Korea. But the statement that they didn't fight as Canadians still cracks me up.

hey davo why does that crack you up that we didn't want to be named after CANADIANS? we were equal to all the other UN soldiers out there helping from other countries... we don't try to act/prove we are better then anyone else so we went in there like everyone else helping, UN soldiers.

I agree, Canada was useful in the cold war. But do you really think Canada had a choice whether we'd have radar use up there?
What bashing exactly? I said nothing worth attacking in Canada, that isn't bashing.
And that Canada is defended by the US. That's just a fact.
And you're right, Canada doesn't need to spend any more money on troops. Canada relies on the US for protection which we do just fine at, so no need for more mounties.
And you're also right about Canada not bothering anyone. Very uninvolved, uncaring country. Who cares about if Mideasterns have democracy as long as you have it, right?

Davo, its about politics, you of all people should know that, since you seem to think your all wise and knowing when it comes to it. If canada went in as its own country THAN the troops would be canadian troops, but when they go in under the banner of the UN, then they are UN troops. OK so if they troops were under UN control in Korea, than candians would have been last in action during the second world war, ill give you that but thats not the point.

Eh. Whether or not some radar stations qualify as 'very crucial ... for years' is debatable. If NORAD was in Saskatchewan you may have me on that point.

I take my shots at Canada when it's fun and amusing to do so, but I don't think there's any serious "Canada-bashing" going on in this thread. I think you need to get over your insecurities about being Canadian.
