Its like comparing a mac truck to a beetle, you just cant do it. The countries populations are just too extreme for a straight comparison
I wasn't exactly making a straight comparison. I was using the numbers to show that 60k odd soldiers and $11 billion isn't enought to fight a war. The US would be the major defender of Canada, plain and simple. Canada doesn't have the man power or money to completely defend itself.
ok that may be true but the fact remains we dont go and get involved in things like the american govt does. We try more diplomatic avenues. I would like to see our military stronger and its a big issue on the coming election. But that doesnt mean i want canada going off and starting conflicts
