It sounds like you fixed the issue but regapping a used plug is not going to work. If a plug is pulled from a Duratec it has to be put back in the same exact cylinder or you'll have issues. The Duratec has an unusual ignition system. I'll save the trouble of explaining. The solution to your issue is new double plats and wires.
