I finally got the chance to install my FORD BLUE powder coated engine parts (cam covers, upper intake) the other day. Been meaning to do it for awhile now, the parts have been sitting in storage for like 5 weeks so I figured it was now or never. I think it looks great compared to the factory black, yeah I'm old school (FORD hasn't put out a blue motor in how long?) but I like blue and plus it's also a FORD! Did everything myself including the powder coat which didn't cost me a single dime (thanks Metro State College Denver!) it was all free. Granted I paid a $40 "lab" fee. We've got a sand blaster, powder coat gun ("ford" blue powder), and an oven at college for student use. Yeah, I now it doesn't make it go faster, it does however look better than stock. I think I'll do the set I took off in powder coat (red, blue, silver, black, or?) , any takers (non-svt uim).

Now, I'm thinking of fabbing up a carbon fiber engine cover (if someone hasn't already?). The plastic pos looks out of place now.

What do you think?
